Content Rules

These rules apply to every poll, option, reason, link and image on VOTEin. Violations may be removed after review; every poll carries a report button.

Not allowed

• Targeting, harassing or defaming a private individual.
• Hate or incitement against any community, caste, or religion.
• Content illegal under Indian law, or that endangers minors in any way.
• Deliberately false claims framed as fact in the question or context.
• Spam, scams, or impersonating a person or organization.
• Images you have no right to use, or that contain private personal information.

Political polls

• Polls naming political parties or candidates are permitted as user speech, but VOTEin never features or promotes political polls on any platform surface.
• During officially declared election periods, polls about the contest in the relevant jurisdiction may be restricted or removed to comply with the RPA and Election Commission rules on opinion polling.
• Results are always labelled as what VOTEin participants said — never as public opinion.

Voting integrity

• One person, one vote. No automation, purchased SIMs, or coordinated manipulation.
• Manipulated polls may be voided; involved accounts may be suspended.

Enforcement & appeal

Reports are reviewed by a human. Removal shows a takedown notice in place of the poll. To appeal a removal, write to grievance@votein.in — acknowledgement within 24 hours, decision within 15 days.
