How VOTEin works
One person, one vote
Every voter verifies a real mobile number with an OTP before voting. One number can vote once per poll — enforced by the database, not by promises.
Your ballot is genuinely secret
The record that you voted and the record of what was voted are stored in separate, unlinked tables. There is no key connecting them — nobody, including VOTEin, can reconstruct how you voted. Even your own dashboard cannot show your choice. Written reasons are counted, never published.
Your receipt proves you voted — not what you chose
After voting you get a receipt ID. It proves participation without revealing your choice, so nobody can demand proof of how you voted.
Polls freeze when voting starts
Once the first vote arrives, the question, options and links cannot be changed. What the last voter saw is what the first voter saw.
Honest numbers, honestly labelled
Every result carries the same label: participants verified by mobile OTP, and a reminder that results reflect what people on VOTEin said — never a representative survey of the public. Regional splits appear only where at least 10 ballots exist, protecting secrecy in small groups.
Translations never replace the original
Polls can be read in Telugu or Hindi via clearly-labelled AI translation. The creator's original words stay one tap away and remain visible on every ballot button — your vote is always recorded against the original.
Report anything
Every poll has a report button. Reports are reviewed by a human; removed polls stop being served entirely. See our Content Rules.
